Say It Right in Chinese, Not Just in Google Translate
If you've got Chinese-speaking customers, chances are you've leaned on Google Translate at least once — and it shows. Stiff phrasing, wrong tone, sometimes even wrong meaning. AI tools like ChatGPT can do a much better job, because you can ask for the right tone and context.
Pick three messages you send often: a booking confirmation, your cancellation policy, and a thank-you note after a visit. Feed them in one at a time.
"Translate this into natural, polite Mandarin suitable for a beauty salon customer in Australia. Keep it warm but professional, not overly formal: [paste your message]"
Read the result out loud (or ask a Chinese-speaking friend or staff member to check it) before using it. Save the approved versions in a simple doc — Booking Confirmation (EN/中文), Cancellation Policy (EN/中文), Thank You Note (EN/中文) — so you're not retranslating from scratch every time.
This isn't about replacing a real translator for legal documents. It's about making everyday communication feel welcoming, not awkward, for a customer who's already trusting you with their business.
